The National Agricultural Research and Development Institute (NARDI) is a Botswana government – funded research and development institute incorporated in 2015 as a company limited by guarantee. The Institute was established to conduct high quality needs-based research and development across the agricultural value chain for the benefit of the economy, the agricultural industry, government and contribute to the body of knowledge in science and agricultural research. NARDI has a country wide decentralised presence through a network of Research and Innovation Centres, Field Stations and Experimental Sites. MANAGER, FINANCE – CORPORATE SERVICES (FIXED TERM CONTRACT)

Main Purpose of the Job;

Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, the position oversees all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cost effective accounting and the organisation’s financial reporting in accordance with international financial reporting standards; Maintain an integrated system of procedures and controls to ensure timelv delivery of relevant financial information which is complete and accurate; Develops and Implements processes and procedures to contribute to the financial stability and sustainability of the Institute; and leads in the determination of tariffs and levies and the overall revenue management of the organization; Align the department’s operations with the overall mission, vision and values of NARDI.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting/Finance or a closely related fields and Professional Membership of a recognised accountancy institute such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, or CIMA.

Experience: At least ten (10) years post professional qualification experience in accounting, financial reporting and management or related fields of which four (4) years should have been at management/Supervisory level.
