Kuru Museum is a non-profit organisation mandated to promote and preserve the heritage of Gantsi and the heart of the Khalahari through research, collections management, exhibitions, creative industries promotion, and community engagement. The Trust invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of MANAGER.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and overall management of the Museum
- Ensure implementation of the Museum’s mandate and strategic goals
- Oversee curation and promotion of cultural and creative arts programmes
- Manage staff, operations, logistics, and day-to-day administration
- Develop and manage projects and business initiatives related to museum Operations
- Promote partnerships, fundraising, and institutional sustainability
- Design exhibitions and educational programs
Requirements
- Degree in Humanities from a recognised institution
- Background in heritage-related disciplines such as: Museum Studies, Heritage Studies, Archaeology, Fine Arts, Sociology, Cultural Studies
- Or relevant Business qualifications
- Experience working in a museum or heritage environment (minimum 2 years)
- Project management or entrepreneurial skills
