The successful incumbent will be reporting directly to the director responsible for Reputation and Risk Management for Deloitte Botswana. The individual will be responsible to identify significant Iniwenl risks in the various business units of the Deloitte Botswana operations. In addition, the individual will be responsible to design and implement procedures around and provide assurance on engagement acceptance and continuance processes and ensure adherence to these procedures by all staff members.

- Instilling ethics throughout the organization by enforcing a code of conduct for the partners, directors, management, and staff of Deloitte Botswana
- Ongoing monitoring of the risk related activities and risk exposures to ensure they are in line with approved risk appetites and risk limits
- Manage the process for developing risk policies and procedures, risk limits and approval authorities.
- Ensuring compliance with all current laws and regulations and enforcing all existing policies and procedures
- Outlining a process for managing risks at the service offering level on an ongoing basis for all business units.
- Determining which client engagement process to be followed for the various service lines.
- Identifying each service risk and allocation to the service risk classifications
- Identifying the lead client service partners and determining the restriction status of entities
- Completion of all client and engagement acceptance forms.
- Logging of conflict checks and performing background checks on directors, entities and senior management
About You
- Candidates must hold as a minimum a Masters degree specializing m Risk Management and have a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience with a professional service firm focusing on Risk Management. The incumbent should have experience in dealing with and assessing independence, conflicts, and compliance
- You would also need to have the following Competencies
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and working within a professional service firm (e.g. Big four) in a similar environment
- Excellent communication skills (oral presentation skills and writing skills)
- Sound technical/problem-solving skills
- Analytical and logical skills
- Sound business acumen
- Self-starter and self-motivator
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Able to supervise Junior staff reporting to you
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a highly pressured environment
- Proficient in MS Word. Excel and PowerPoint
