Reporting to the Senior Manager: Security, the position will be responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of security to ensure the protection of assets, personnel and sensitive information related to the diamond industry, including implementing protocols and conducting risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with Security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the Precious and Semi-Precious Stones Act, implementing strategies to prevent theft, conducting regular security audits, and ensuring secure transport.
- Overseeing and implementing security measures for the safe, accurate and timely shipment of goods during import and export.
- Enforcing security measures to protect individuals and property within the premises, adhering to a four-step security process (detecting, deterring, observing, and reporting).
- Conducting comprehensive risk assessments, overseeing regular audits and implementing effective security measures.
- Promoting a high-performance culture, implementing performance and talent management, and developing teams.
- Maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders and projecting a positive corporate brand image.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and managing identified risks.
- Managing resources effectively, inputting into budgeting, instituting cost control measures and maintaining financial control.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management.
- Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in security management.
- Including three (3) years in a management role.
