Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise daily maintenance activities for drilling rigs, heavy equipment, compressors, and support vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Lead and support maintenance teams, ensuring adherence to safe work practices, maintenance procedures, and site discipline.
  • Monitor equipment condition, breakdowns, and maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and maintain operational reliability.
  • Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues involving diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and drilling equipment, coordinating repairs with mechanics.
  • Ensure implementation of preventive maintenance programs and alignment with operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance within mining, drilling, or heavy equipment operations.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, drilling rigs, and heavy machinery.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance activities and supporting teams in site-based or remote environments.
  • Good problem-solving, planning, and organisational skills.
