Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Senior Medical Officer the position is responsible for patient evaluations and therapy in both the outpatient and inpatient areas as well as assisting with theatre cases and escalation of appropriate situations to the Senior medical officer/Chief Medical Officer or Specialist on call as is appropriate.
  • Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer the position is responsible for patient evaluations and therapy in both the outpatient and inpatient areas as well as assisting with theatre cases and escalation of appropriate cases to the Specialists or Chief Medical Officer.
  • Reporting to the Hospital Manager the position is responsible for patient evaluations and therapy in both the outpatient and inpatient areas as well as assisting with theatre cases and escalation of appropriate cases to the Specialists or Hospital Manager.

Requirements

  • Qualified Medical Doctor
  • Registration with the BHPC
  • Up-to-date ATLS and ACLS accreditation an added advantage
  • Ability to perform emergency lifesaving procedures
  • 3 years working in an Emergency unit or area of speciality with exposure as doctor assistant in theatre.

  • 6 years working in an Emergency unit or area of speciality which 2 must have been served at a medical officer level.
