Leading a crew of miners on shift to safely and efficiently execute drilling, blasting, loading and hauling operations in line the shift plan.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre task risk assessments
- Enforce mine safety standards, PPE compliance
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment, ground conditions and work areas tagging out unsafe conditions
- Coordinate daily mining activities
- Monitor daily production targets vs plan
- Maintain accurate shift log books
- Working in liaison with technical team
- Supervise, train and mentor subordinates on safe operating procedures
- Address conduct issues of subordinates
- Ensure work area is kept clean, tidy and free from hazards
Requirements
- Degree In Mining Engineering
- 5 Years’ experience in an open cast or underground mine
- Underground Full Blasting License
- Highest level of safety consciousness
- Able write reports in English
