Reporting to the Project Manager, the Mining Superintendent is responsible for leading mechanized underground mining operations, including development, drill-and-blast, and production activities, to achieve safety, productivity, and cost targets. Oversee multi-disciplinary teams, optimize operational performance, drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and support workforce development through coaching and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
- Mining Overseer’s Certificate of Competency or equivalent qualification
- Underground Blasting Certificate
- Shift Boss Certificate of Competency
- Minimum 15 years of operational mining experience, with at least 5 years in underground decline development. At least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role within underground mining operations
- Practical experience in mechanised mining activities, including decline development and long-hole stoping
- Strong track record of leading production teams and achieving targets in safety-critical environments
- Good working knowledge of mine planning, ventilation, ground support, and mine services installation
