G4S (Botswana) Ltd. Role Purpose: The Control Centre/Room Manager will be responsible for general oversight and management of the national control centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake to ensure that activations and requests are dealt with timeously and appropriately, with the necessary escalations taking place.
  • Ensure proper processing of alarm calls from signal receipt to completion
  • Ensure professional and standardized telephonic and radio communication within the NCC
  • Ensure professional and standardized inter-colleague communication within the NCC
  • Allocation and distribution of controller rosters.
  • Efficient administration of control room records and reports
  • Daily, weekly monthly reports to be submitted timeously
  • Staff motivation levels
  • Ensuring that performance assessments of all subordinate employees are conducted, and corrective action implemented where necessary.
  • Ensuring that acceptable standards of behaviour at work are maintained by all subordinate employees, as required by G4S’s code of conduct and disciplinary code.
  • Ensuring that all disciplinary actions are conducted in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the branch/region/national safety plans for each year.
  • Participate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks
  • Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
  • Discuss all safety incidents on all levels

Requirements

  • At least 10 years’ experience in security electronics industry, CCTV, access control
  • Strong management skills
  • Business acumen
