Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains a record of Government movable property taken in and out of the premises to prevent theft of Government property
  • Search and records every vehicle coming in and going out of Government premises.
  • Records in the diary, all suspicious occurrences to assist in cases of theft and burglary.
  • Hoists the National Flag and lowers it at designated times.
  • Checks all fences and enclosures for possible unauthorized access and ensures that the entire fencing is in a good state and reports any defects to the supervisor.
  • Reports all cases of theft to the supervising officer and helps police with investigations.
  • Ensures that no private property is kept/brought to/within Government premises without prior authority
  • Ensures that all in-coming and out-going stores are checked against vouchers and invoices.
  • Maintains gate register for visitors
  • Provide security services to Government staff by preventing unstable/dangerous individuals from entering Government premises.
  • Patrolling Government premises before hand over to Gate Keeper to ensure that windows, doors and any other outlet are securely closed and locked.
  • Undertakes any other related duties as assigned by management.
