Key Responsibilities

  • provide strategic leadership to the business units under their scope of work and ensure effective implementation of business strategy.
  • oversee several filling stations under his/her span of control and ensure that they meet key performance targets.
  • supervise management team members; provide coaching and guidance to the team as and when necessary.
  • support human resource development initiatives in order to enhance employees’ competence and performance
  • continually evaluate the business operations to identify sales opportunities and ensure business efficiency.
  • monitor implementation of internal controls to minimize loss of stock, assets, and cash.
  • conduct regular visits to the business outlets to check adherence to set hygiene, safety, and merchandising standards.
  • build and manage mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers and other external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in business management, commerce, marketing management, logistics and supply or a related field.
  • at least ten (10) years of management experience consisting of work experience at both middle and senior management positions in a fuel and lubricants business environment.
  • a practical understanding of financial reports and ability to do financial budgets and implement financial controls.
  • strong business acumen and ability to supervise and coach a team of subordinates on business processes.
  • be self-driven, customer-centric, attentive to details and able to do effective analysis of business records and trends.
