1. PHARMACIST, PALAPYE

A competent, reliable and passionate individual that is open to working beyond operating hours in order to provide health services to the public.

QUALIFICATIONS: B.Pharm / M.Pharm

Responsibilities and duties:

• Interpret and review prescriptions.
• Prepare medication.
• Dispense medication in proper packages and labelling giving proper directions.
• Educate on proper use of medicines, storage and expected side effects.
• Properly dispense Over-The-Counter medication.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Supervise cashiers and Pharmacy Technicians.
• Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
• Keep abreast with laws and regulations regarding pharmacy profession and retail pharmacy.
• Attend workshops on New Guidelines, drugs, and any other matter pertaining to the profession.
• Train Technicians and cashiers on their jobs.
• Follow up on patients.
• Order and receive stock using provided Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ensure all licences pertaining to the running of the pharmacy are renewed timeously.
• Submit monthly reports to directors.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Pharmacy
• Minimum of 3 years work experience
• Valid registration with BHPC and a private practising license
• Computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft office programs i.e excel, power point, word and access
• Experience in retail pharmacy and ComPharm system will be an added advantage
• Kitso training will be an added advantage
