The Plant Planner will be responsible to provide scheduling support to implementation projects, including schedule development and update, schedule risk analysis, scenario planning and project progress reporting. He/She will implement MMG Project Management System in Khoemacau Expansion Project as well as guide all participants using the platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and tracking the progress of the project against the established schedule. Identifying delays, deviations, or risks that may impact the timeline and report them promptly.
  • Preparing, updating, and distributing regular progress reports to stakeholders as well as ensuring that the reports are accurate, timely, and reflect the status of the project.
  • Overseeing the setup, maintenance, and utilization of the PMIS to support project planning and tracking and to ensure that all project data is accurately entered and updated in the system.
  • Collaborating with contractors, suppliers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather progress updates and align schedule adjustments as well as facilitating meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Implementing the metric for progress measurement and providing planning and scheduling performance inputs to project status reporting.
  • Analyzing project schedules to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements as well as proposing adjustments to the schedule as needed to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

  • Recognised tertiary qualification (Degree / Diploma) and registration with Professional Council and/or regulatory body (recommended).
  • Certificate of PMP or IPMP level C above.
  • A minimum of 5 years post qualification in Project Controls functions, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Project Scheduling Control role on major projects (including execution / construction phase).
  • Demonstrated proficiency (advanced) in Primavera P6 software.
  • Proficiency in project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Extensive knowledge in the development and execution of major mining projects.
  • A valid class B driver’s license and good driving record is a must for all positions.
