Key Responsibilities

  • Develops strategies and guidelines for property management and ensures that property management is done in accordance with the guidelines.
  • Facilitates drawing of lease agreements, renewals and repairs to occupied council facilities (buildings, advertisement sites)
  • Determines rentals for Council facilities to ensure cost recovery.
  • Formulates Council guidelines/bye laws on the use of Council immovable property.
  • Supervises and guides subordinates in accordance with set standards.
  • Negotiate with Landlords over lease agreements, renewals and repairs to buildings occupied by Council.
  • Reviews valuation guidance instruments to enhance and facilitate the payment of rates.
  • Facilitate valuation of any land and properties being acquired or disposed by Council in accordance with statutes in place.
  • Undertakes any other related duties as directed by management.

Requirements

  • Degree in Estate Management OR Related Field.
  • Candidate must have a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience of which two (2) years must have been satisfactorily served as Senior Estates Officer of D4 salary scale or equivalent in Parastatal or Private Sector (Middle Management Position).
  • Applicants must provide proof of valid Practicing Certificate from REAC. (Attach registration certificate and valid Practicing certificate- (Property Valuation and Property Management).
