Requirements
- A minimum of a Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A professional certification (e.g., CIPS) is an advantage.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a procurement or inventory management role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and experience with inventory management software (SAGE software).
- Strong Negotiation & numerical Skills: Ability to secure cost savings without compromising quality.
- Excellent Planning & Organisation: Meticulous attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
- Cultural Sensitivity: A deep understanding of and respect for the diverse cultural and religious funeral traditions in Botswana.
- Communication & Interpersonal skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Setswana, and ability to build strong professional relationships with suppliers and internal staff.
- Problem-Solving: Resourceful and proactive in resolving supply chain issues.
- Supply chain management: Understanding of logistics, vendors management, and inventory control principles.
- Empathy and Compassion: The innate ability to conduct oneself with utmost respect and sensitivity.
- Resilience: Emotional stability to work in an environment associated with grief and loss.
- Trustworthiness: Unquestionable integrity and ethical standards.
- Hands-On: Willingness to work flexibly and assist in other operational areas when required.
