Job Title: Procurement, Assets and Logistics Officer
Reporting Line: Reports directly to the Procurement, Assets and Logistics Manager.
ROLE PURPOSE
TKM Engineering, a local Building and Civil Engineering Contractor is looking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced person for the position of Procurement, Assets and Logistics Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY COMPETENCIES
- Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or related from a recognized university
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products
- At least three (3) years post qualification experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management; preferably in the construction industry
- Strong analytical skills using process approach and risk-based thinking
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ethical behaviour
- Building relationships
- Ability to work under pressure and have good time management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assigned the responsibilities to assist the Procurement, Assets and Logistics Manager to manage Procurement, Assets and Logistics department processes.
- Assist the Procurement, Assets and Logistics Manager in managing the Procurement, Assets and Logistics department processes effectively and efficiently by planning, leading, organizing, coordinating and controlling.
- Perform the assigned responsibilities effectively and efficiently by complying with the implemented organization Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS) requirements.
- Critical Outputs are as follows:
- Evaluate and Select suppliers based on quality, cost and reliability.
- Receive requisitions for procuring goods and services from the organization departments and process them in a timely manner.
- Request quotations from suppliers and analyse and evaluate them for procurement purposes.
- Raising Purchase Orders as per specifications stipulated in the Requisitions.
- Reconcile goods ordered or loaded against the Tax invoice.
- Evaluating the quality of procured goods and resolving any disputes or discrepancies with suppliers.
- Reconcile the Goods Received Notes with the Purchase Orders and the Requisitions.
- Keep all records of procured goods and services in accordance with the organization Integrated Quality Management System.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of suppliers and service providers to ensure mutual benefit.
- Maintaining long term relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Keeping abreast of the Procurement, Assets and Logistics standards, regulations and statutory requirements to ensure compliance.
