Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing the Group’s procurement and supply chain strategy, policies, procedures and controls in line with the Group’s strategic and operational objectives.
  • Leading annual and project-specific procurement planning and consolidating requirements to identify strategic sourcing and cost optimisation opportunities.
  • Developing and implementing procurement plans for property development, stand servicing and land bank development projects undertaken by FMW, FML and FMP.
  • Overseeing supplier sourcing, accreditation, due diligence, evaluation and performance management.
  • Managing tendering and competitive bidding processes for significant operational, capital and project-related expenditure.
  • Leading commercial and contract negotiations with suppliers, contractors and service providers.
  • Monitoring procurement activities against approved budgets, project timelines and implementation schedules and escalating significant variances.
  • Identifying and mitigating procurement and supply chain risks and implementing appropriate contingency measures.
  • Ensuring compliance with approved procurement policies, procedures, delegated authority limits and applicable governance requirements.
  • Overseeing the efficient execution of end-to-end procurement activities and resolving significant delivery delays and supply risks.
  • Providing strategic procurement advice to management on significant sourcing, contracting and supplier-related decisions.
  • Producing periodic reports on procurement expenditure, supplier performance, savings, outstanding commitments and procurement risks.
  • Leading, supervising and developing the procurement team to ensure effective service delivery and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce, Business Management, Accounting or a related field.
  • A relevant postgraduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage.
  • At least three years’ experience in a similar or related procurement and supply chain management environment.
  • Professional qualifications such as CIPS and C(AZ) will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, supplier and contract management, tendering and procurement governance.
  • Experience in managing procurement for major operational, capital or property development projects will be an added advantage.
  • Strong commercial negotiation, stakeholder management, leadership, analytical and communication skills.
  • High levels of integrity, ethical conduct and sound professional judgement.
