PRODUCTION AND COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR – FOR CITRUS FARM – Selebi Phikwe Citrus 796 views

Introduction

Selebi Phikwe Citrus is looking for a highly experienced Production Manager to join our team and contribute to the development and success of our large-scale citrus operation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 Years experience in citrus farming management and possess a strong hands-on approach to both strategic and day-to-day responsibilities.

Position Overview:

The Production/Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing production administration and ensuring compliance with various standards.

Key areas of responsibility may include, but not limited to:

• Managing stock control and reconciling stock issued according to spray instructions.
• Ordering chemicals and fertilisers in line with established programmes.
• Issuing and reconciling spray and fertiliser instructions as per programme guidelines.
• Reconciling harvest data and bin allocations between orchards and the packhouse.
• Maintaining data from monitoring systems such as Phytclean, eCert export programmes, and the Climate Fruit and Wine Carbon calculator.
• Coordinating the collection and processing of samples (MRL, water, soil, and leaves).
• Maintaining and updating the filing system.
• Overseeing all accreditations, including GlobalGAP, Tesco Nurture, Farming for the Future, SIZA, Spring, LEAF, etc.
• Managing DALRRD export market registrations and verifications, removal permits and orchard inspections.
• Staying informed on regulatory standards and trends related to quality control.
• Coordinating Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) meetings and monthly checklists.
• Ensuring timely internal checks, compliance monitoring, and health and safety walkthroughs with comprehensive record keeping.
• Enforcing compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
• Documenting scouting information accurately and coordinating scouting activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 certificate.
• At least 3 years’ experience with SIZA, GlobalGAP, and/or other auditing processes.
• Previous internal auditing experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with advanced skills in report writing and data capturing.
• Experience in farming production or relevant work experience is advantageous.
