The National Agro Processing (NAPRO) is a wholly owned subsidiary of National Agricultural Research and Development Institute (NARDI) based in Selibe Phikwe. It is legally registered under the laws of Botswana, governed by the Board of Directors appointed by the Minister of Lands and Agriculture. The company is currently governed by the NARDI Board Members. NAPRO’s mandate is to stimulate growth of the horticultural sector through value addition of the available horticultural produce and to expand the market. NAPRO wishes to recruit highly skilled individuals with the ability to positively contribute to the horticultural sector. Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the Production Plant.
  • Leading a team of production workers to ensure efficient and timely processing of fruits and vegetables strictly in accordance with laid down procedures and quality standards to achieve production targets and product specifications as well as to minimise waste.

Requirements

  • Degree in Food Science or a closely related discipline.
  • At least four (4) years’ relevant relevant post qualification experience two (2) of which should be at supervisory level responsible for major food processing functions and wide experience in production management systems, policies, practices and procedures.
  • Strong Communication and interpersonal relations, Assertive and Decisive. Proactive, Innovative and Initiative, Analytical Thinking, Knowledge of Health and Safety Practices, and Good Coordinating Skills.
