Key Responsibilities
- Monitor capital expenditure (CapEx), work-in-progress (WIP), and project milestones against approved budgets
- Review and approve supplier quotations, invoice and manage purchase order system.
- Prepare monthly variance analysis, project financial packs, and cash flow forecasts.
- Work with HODs and operations teams on cost optimization.
- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and IFRS accounting standards
- Ensure adherence to all BURS requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- Professional certifications (ACCA, CIMA, or CA) are a strong advantage
- Minimum 3-5 years of dedicated experience in project accounting or cost controlling within mining, construction, or heavy manufacturing.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and effective communication for liaising with site operations.
- Commitment to a zero-harm safety culture.
