PROJECT MANAGER (1 NO POSITIONS) – Estate Construction (Pty) Ltd 720 views

Estate Construction (Pty) Ltd is looking for a results-driven and highly experienced Project Manager with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle-from planning to execution-ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction projects from start to completion.
  • Develop project scope, budgets, schedules, and resource plans
  • Manage project teams including engineers, site supervisors, contractors, and suppliers
  • Monitor and report on progress, risks, and milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, reporting, and close-out
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and government bodies
  • Lead project meetings and drive problem resolution.
  • Control variations, claims, and ensure profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in managing large-scale civil engineering or building projects.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Registration with a recognized professional engineering or construction body (ERB) is an added advantage
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) will be a distinct advantage
  • Certification in Health and Safety (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) is desirable.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC, JBCC, etc.)
  • Proficient in MS Project, Primavera P6, and project cost control tool
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong commercial awareness and risk management skills
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities
