Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Scheduling: Creating detailed project schedules, setting timelines, and ensuring all project phases (design, tender, and construction) are aligned with the overall objective.
• Budget & Financial Management: Estimating costs, developing budgets, controlling expenditures, and managing procurement to prevent overruns.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensuring adherence to occupational health and safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
• Site Operations & Coordination: Managing daily on-site operations, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, and ensuring resources are deployed effectively.
• Quality Control: Reviewing work to ensure it meets technical specifications, safety standards, and client requirements.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serving as the central point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular progress reports, and addressing concerns.
• Risk Management & Conflict Resolution: Identifying potential project risks, developing mitigation strategies, and resolving disputes between contractors or workers.

Requirements

• Engineering Degree, preferably Civil, Mechanical or Quantity Survey.
• At least 10 years’ experience.
• Leadership & Team Management: Guiding project teams and delegating tasks effectively.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding engineering principles and construction methods.
• Communication: Effective, proactive communication to keep the project on track.
• Problem-solving: Addressing challenges quickly during site construction.
• The candidate should be willing to travel across Africa.
