Lopsymed Pharmaceuticals (Pty) Ltd, a newly established pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Botswana, is seeking to appoint a Quality Control Officer at its manufacturing plant in Selibe Phikwe The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products and raw materials meet established standards of identity, strength, purity, and quality before release to the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine sampling, inspection, and chemical/microbiological analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Strictly adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.
- Operate and maintain advanced laboratory equipment (e.g., HPLC) in accordance with approved protocols.
- Document all test results accurately and maintain comprehensive analytical records and laboratory notebooks.
- Identify, document, and report any deviations, out-of-specification results, or quality concerns to management.
- Assist in stability studies and method validation processes as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related science.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a QC laboratory within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., WHO) is an added advantage
- Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in relevant computer applications.
