Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and perform analysis of all products (raw and finished goods) throughout the entire production process and report any abnormalities found.
- Ensure availability and use of valid control samples and report any abnormalities immediately.
- Analyse all samples brought to the laboratory for proficiency testing and record accordingly.
- Participate in the inspection of food processing and operations environment and assist in ensuring that people adhere to quality standards.
- Promote safety practices and procedures with respect to work environment and prepare routine and special reports to management.
- Maintain Quality Control records and make them available as requested, for information and decision making.
- Inspect all process line personal hygiene and housekeeping activities to ensure compliance.
- Check processes and products compliance to company set specifications and legal requirements.
- Confirm the usability of stock before sending it to the mill department.
- Participate actively in the implementation of ISO and Kaizen programs in order to contribute to company compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate must have at least three (3) years’ experience in a similar position and a Degree or Diploma in Food Science Nutrition and Technology or equivalent.
- The candidate must have exposure to implementation and maintenance of ISO 17025 Laboratory Management systems.
- Computer literacy – (Excel, Word & Power point) is essential.
