Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Prepare tender documentation and evaluate contractors’ bids.
- Manage project costs from inception to completion.
- Conduct site measurements and prepare interim valuations.
- Prepare payment certificates for contractors and subcontractors.
- Monitor project expenditure and prepare cost reports.
- Assess and value variations, claims, and change orders.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with contract conditions and procurement procedures.
- Provide cost advice and value engineering recommendations.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
- Prepare monthly financial and project progress reports.
- Identify and manage project risks related to cost and contracts.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, Electrical, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in preparing BOQs, cost planning, tendering, valuations, and final accounts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and quantity surveying software.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s licence.
