Key Responsibilities

  • Manage receiving staff, ensuring accurate documentation, inspecting goods, coordinating inventory updates, and maintaining efficient and compliant receiving operations.
  • Manage the daily receiving schedule, ensuring all incoming shipments are offloaded, inspected for damage, verified against invoices and delivery notes.
  • Ensure the accurate logging of batches, serial numbers, expiration dates, and investigate & resolve discrepancies in shortages or overages.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of received goods with warehouse principles or Management Systems (WMS).
  • Generate reports on receiving performance, discrepancies & inventory level.
  • Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards in the receiving bay and storage areas.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate performance of receiving staff and conduct performance reviews.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience, with at least 4 years in a senior position in logistics, Warehousing or Transport sector
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing and inventory management is key
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (Word, Excel & Power Point) and report writing skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
