The Relationship Manager will provide dedicated relationship management to a portfolio of high-value commercial clients, driving balance sheet growth and profitability through effective client acquisition and retention strategies. Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and develop sales opportunities to meet customer needs.
  • Drive the sale of CASA products to both existing and new clients in line with the Bank’s growth strategy.
  • Optimise portfolio potential by supporting clients in achieving their business objectives through tailored financial solutions and services.
  • Build and maintain strong networks to drive proactive business development and new client acquisition within the wider community.
  • Ensure full understanding and implementation of the Bank’s AML/CTF policies across the portfolio, mitigating money-laundering risks during account opening and throughout the account lifecycle.
  • Cross-sell the Bank’s products and services in line with each client’s needs to maximise portfolio value.
  • Identify product gaps and contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of banking products and services.
  • Make informed pricing decisions across all client segments to ensure profitability while remaining competitive and responsive to market conditions.
  • Ensure client confidentiality and professionalism to maintain and increase the Bank’s image and brand.
  • Take full ownership of an assigned client portfolio, ensuring the delivery of appropriate service levels and financial advice to meet client requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Management, or a related field (essential).
  • A recognised professional banking qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in relationship management within a banking or related environment.
  • Strong relationship and portfolio management capability
  • Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service while achieving revenue targets
  • Strong understanding of banking products and service solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of competitor solutions
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills
  • Awareness of current and emerging industry trends
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills in a corporate environment
