Eligibility and Registration
Proposals are invited from 100% citizen registered developers in Botswana. Tenderers must be registered with the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority under the following category:

This tender is reserved for citizen-owned companies or citizen contractors in accordance with Section 76(2) of the Public Procurement Act.
Preference margins shall be applied to qualifying bidders in accordance with the prescribed Preference Scheme and Presidential Directive CAB 34(B) 2012 on the Economic Diversification Drive (EDD). Bidders must submit a certified copy of a valid EDD certificate issued by the relevant authority together with their bid proposal.
Youth-owned companies or businesses shall purchase the tender documents at 50% of the selling price in accordance with Presidential Directive CAB 14(B) 2015. Proof of youth ownership, including a company extract showing shareholders or owners and certified copies of shareholder or owner identity documents, must be emailed together with the proof of payment.

    • Youth-owned companies or businesses shall purchase the tender documents at 50% of the selling price in accordance with Presidential Directive CAB 14(B) 2015.
    • Proof of youth ownership, including a company extract showing shareholders or owners and certified copies of shareholder or owner identity documents, must be emailed together with the proof of payment for tender documents.
    • Tender documents shall be purchased by paying a non-refundable deposit of BWP 10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Pula) directly into the BIHP bank account.
    • Proof of payment for tender documents must be emailed to tenders@bih.co.bw before the tender documents are released.
    • All queries or requests for clarification relating to these tender documents must be submitted in writing no later than three (3) days before the tender closing date.
    • Attend a Compulsory Site Visit and Pre-Tender Meeting on 22 September 2026 at 1000hrs at BDIH Science & Technology Park, Plot No. 69184, Block 8, Gaborone.
