Botswana Harvard Health Partnership (BHP) We seek hands on, result driven individuals, with good interpersonal skills to fill the position of Research Assistant for ACTG & IMPAACT Studies within the partnership. The incumbent shall be required to have good understanding of the Study Research Protocol and provide support in clinical research trials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruiting study participants as per stipulated targets.
  • Following up of study participants by telephone or physical follow-up as needed.
  • Conducting informed consent procedures.
  • Performing study evaluations as per study protocol.
  • Drawing blood samples from participants.
  • HIV testing and counselling.
  • Adhering to the Study Protocols and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Adhering to Good Clinical Practice and Human Subject Research guidelines.
  • Implementing the Quality Assurance plan.
  • Driving BHP vehicle carrying participants.

Requirements

  • Excellent time management.
  • Computer Literate.
  • Licensed to drive in Botswana will be an added advantage.
  • Certificate/ Diploma in Health Care auxiliary or related field.
  • Certificate in Counselling.
  • Four (4) years’ experience in clinical research support.
  • The incumbent must also have professional experience in HIV testing and counselling.
  • Computer literacy is required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good command of both Setswana and English languages.
  • Good Organizational skills.
