Resident Mechanical Engineer – Francistown

VGE Consulting Engineers is seeking a Resident Mechanical Engineer/Technician for on-site deployment on the Francistown Fuel Depot Expansion. The role involves assisting the Chief Resident Engineer with supervision of tanks, piping, pumps, and firefighting systems, ensuring compliance with designs, standards (API, NFPA, BOS), and safety requirements.

Requirements:

• BSc/BEng/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

• ERB Botswana registration and practising (or eligible).

• 6+ years’ experience in piping projects or heavy mechanical works (fuel depots, oil & gas industry experience an advantage).

• Strong knowledge of piping and fire system installations.

Engagement: 12-month fixed-term professional service contract (deployment, not employment). Francistown-based candidates will be given preference.
