We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Route Planner to join our Distribution team. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient distribution of finished goods to our customers through effective route planning and transport optimization.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and optimizing distribution routes to support cost-effective, efficient, and on-time deliveries. This includes improving transport utilisation, reducing logistics costs, and maintaining a high level of system accuracy within SAP and GTMS.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure on-time delivery in line with negotiated delivery windows (NDD)
- Align fleet planning with daily and weekly distribution requirements
- Drive reduction in distribution cost per ton through effective route optimisation
- Reduce cartage-outwards costs through efficient load consolidation and route execution
- Conduct monthly transport cost and distribution performance analysis
- Reconcile transporter invoices to ensure billing accuracy
- Link all customers to correct routes and transport rates in SAP system
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in route planning or FMCG distribution
- Strong SAP or ERP system experience
- Experience with transport management systems (GTMS or similar)
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Knowledge & understanding of FMCG distribution and warehouse operations
