Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field assessments, soil testing, and crop scouting to recommend optimized planting, fertilization, and nutrition plans.
• Develop and implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies, with a focus on key pests and other regional threats.
• Lead regional training workshops, demonstrations, and extension services for farmers, distributors, and stakeholders on agrochemical use, product efficacy, and best practices.
• Collaborate with sales teams to promote crop protection products, analyze trial data, and prepare technical reports for regulatory compliance.
• Monitor environmental factors, soil health, and climate impacts to advise on resilient farming practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or any related field. A master’s degree in Agronomy is an added advantage.
• Minimum 2+ years of firsthand experience in crop production, IPM, and agrochemical applications.
• Proven record in farmer training, field trials, and technical advisory for maize, vegetables, or horticultural crops.
• Strong knowledge of local pests, soil science, plant nutrition, and products from suppliers.
• Excellent communication skills for workshops, reports, and stakeholder engagement.
• proficiency in IT and data analysis tools.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally.
