Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares teaching schedules and teaches Child Health Nursing students in the classroom and in the clinical area.
  • Assesses clinical area for placement and supervision of Child Health Nursing students.
  • Set and mark tests and projects for the assessment of students.
  • Assumes full responsibility and accountability while supervising students in the clinical areas, observing ethical standards for practice care.
  • Keep self-abreast with principles relevant to training in the health field
  • Complies and upholds ethical and professional standards of the nursing profession.
  • Actively participates in research activities in the field of speciality

Requirements

  • Master of Nursing Science degree in paediatric nursing.
  • Minimum of postgraduate qualification in education
  • Clinical experience in the Paediatric nursing areas, and teaching experience at a comparable institution.
  • NB: Provide evidence of registration with the Nursing and Midwifery council of country of origin.
  • Experience: Candidates should have served at least 2 years at C1- Lecturer I or comparable position.
