Key Responsibilities
- To teach and educate undergraduate and graduate students in an academic discipline and to build the knowledge base of the discipline through research and publication.
- To administer teaching and research activities within the discipline of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering.
- To play a leading role in improving the teaching and research infrastructure of the Department, Faculty and University. Contribute to teaching within the department/School will include course development and mentorship of junior staff, research supervision and external engagement.
Requirements
- PhD degree in either Materials Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering.
- MSc in either Materials Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering.
- BEng (Hons) OR BSc in either Materials Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering.
- Must be registered with ERB
- Must be registered with BQA as assessor and moderator or eligible to register within 1 year of assumption of duty.
- A minimum of two (2) years post-doctoral experience in either teaching/lecturing/research or industry in the following fields: Hydrometallurgy & Electrometallurgy, Elements of Pyrometallurgy, Mineral Processing, Materials & Metallurgical Engineering Design Project, Tribology & Corrosion.
- Proven research profile and consistent publication record with at least eight (8) peer reviewed reputable publications in either scopus or web of science index journals, commensurate with appointment to the rank of Senior Lecturer.
Salary
