Key Responsibilities
- Deliver teaching over a range of modules within Mathematics and Statistics learning programmes.
- Work with colleagues on curriculum development and the advancement of Mathematics and Statistical Sciences.
- Conduct individual research or work on collaborative projects
- Supervise the efforts and performance of Teaching Instructors and Teaching Assistants.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students projects.
- Source external and internal research funding from national and international donors
- Community engagement
Requirements
- A PhD in Mathematics from a recognized Institution, specializing in Mathematical Epidemiology/Biology and Disease Control.
- Two years of post-doctoral experience in either teaching/lecturing/research or industry in Mathematics or its Applications. However, two years post-doctoral relevant industrial/professional experience shall be equivalent to two years teaching experience.
- Evidence of successful supervision of masters graduate students or equivalent junior staff.
- Record of eight (8) publications in ISI/Scopus indexed journals.
- Must be registered and accredited as Assessor and Moderator by the Botswana Qualifications Authority.
