Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance of
earthmoving equipment
in mining and construction environments. - Identify service and maintenance requirements from work orders.
- Diagnose faults, follow checklists, inspect and test equipment.
- Execute maintenance and service tasks as required.
- Report deviations, faults, and any equipment damage.
- Tag and deliver components to the store or workshop and recommend necessary spare parts.
- Ensure full compliance with the
Sandvik SHEQ Management System
, including Objectives and Targets. - Uphold Sandvik’s
EHS Policies, Vision, Culture, and “Commitment & Responsibility”
principles. - Comply with Sandvik and Client standards, and operating procedures.
- Control hazardous substances and report hazardous conditions or unsafe acts.
- Participate in incident and accident investigations.
- Attend SHE forum meetings.
- Maintain high housekeeping and maintenance standards.
- Demonstrate a strong customer service focus and commitment to achieving goals.

- Higher National Diploma or NCC qualification in
Mechanical

trades. - Minimum
5 years’ relevant experience
with mechanized mining equipment in underground or surface mining environments. - Post-trade experience maintaining heavy vehicle machinery.
- Experience with or knowledge of
Sandvik underground and surface mining equipment
is a distinct advantage. - Computer literacy and related technical software knowledge will be an added advantage.
