The Shaft Sinking Project Engineer is responsible for giving professional and expert guidance on all engineering specifications for Electrical and Mechanical activities, with specialised focus on the head gear construction and winder and rope calculations used in the Sinking, Equipping and Underground Construction of the project. It is scheduled will report to the Shaft Sinking Project Manager and the UMS Group Technical Executive Manager.

Requirements
- Recognised Engineering Degree/ Higher Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Certificate of Competency as issued by the relevant Government to ensure legal appointments can be carried at a Mining/Sinking site.
- 10 years’ experience as a Senior Engineer in a Sinking and Underground Construction Project.
- Proven Project Management Experience.
