Key Responsibilities
- Sound knowledge of mining safety requirements, occupational health and safety legislation, environmental requirements, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
- Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, toolbox.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures and environmental management practices.
- Compile and submit weekly and monthly SHE statistics and performance reports to Management.
Requirements
- BGSE/Form 5Certificate
- Diploma in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management/Safety Health and Environmental Management.
- Familiar with ISO 45001 & ISO 14001
- Minimum of 5 years Field Experience – Drilling and Exploration/Mining
- Must be willing to work long rotations and in tough environments
- Must be able to problem solve and apply skills in a creative manner
