The role aims to achieve maximum productivity, efficiency, quality, service, and profitability for the organization while ensuring legal compliance and upholding high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise daily underground mining activities
- Coordinate drilling, blasting, mucking, and material handling operations
- Conduct pre-shift briefings, assign tasks, and monitor workforce performance
- Inspect work areas for hazards and take immediate corrective actions where necessary
- Maintain accurate shift reports, including production data, incidents, and personnel matters
- Organize teams, coordinate shifts, and manage scheduling
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards
Requirements
- Shift Boss Certificate of Competency or equivalent qualification
- Underground Blasting Certificate
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in underground mining operations, with proven experience in a Shift Boss role
- Proven experience in underground production supervision, drilling and blasting operations, and explosives handling and control
