Job Summary:
Responsible for the consistent preparation of international standard menus and creative meals of the highest quality, presentation and flavour for the dining guests, banquets, and other food facilities, resulting in outstanding guest satisfaction. Additionally, responsible for food and equipment stock, wastage control, hygiene practices and staff training within the kitchen department.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the consistent preparation of international standard menus and creative meals of the highest quality, presentation and flavour for the dining guests, banquets, and other food facilities, resulting in outstanding guest satisfaction.
- Additionally, responsible for food and equipment stock, wastage control, hygiene practices and staff training within the kitchen department.
- To uphold all Kitchen systems, standards and service to the highest level
- Host guests according to the standards to ensure superior service
Requirements
- Diploma in Culinary Arts
- 3-5 Years working experience as a sous Chef in 4 or 5 star environment.
- Multi-skilled and ability to prepare various types of cuisines
- Be passionate, well presented, professional, have good inner confidence and be an energetic person
- To uphold all Kitchen systems, standards and service to the highest level
- Host guests according to the standards to ensure superior service
- Able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Able to demonstrate high standards of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
- Must have worked in a lodge, hotel, restaurant or similar
- Must have a clean Police clearance
- International Language and leadership training will be an added advantage
Salary
A salary will be offered which matches the qualifications, experience and expected contribution of the successful candidate.
