Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control stock levels across all branches and yards
- Ensure accurate recording of stock receipts, movements and dispatches
- Reconcile physical stock with system records
- Monitor weighing, grading and stock handling processes
- Prepare and maintain stock reports and operational reports
- Identify and address stock variances and losses
- Support efficient stock flow and yard operations
- Liaise with branch managers to ensure compliance with company procedures
- Assist with planning and coordination of collections, deliveries and yard activities
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
- Work closely with the Head of Finance & Controls to improve controls and operational efficiency
Requirements
- At least 5 years’ relevant experience in stock control, inventory management and/or operations – ideally
- A Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field
- Strong knowledge of stock control systems and inventory management
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Experience with stock/inventory management software (e.g. Pastel, Sage or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- High level of integrity, honesty and accountability
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
