The positions are based at the Mine Site located between Maun and Sehithwa in Ngamiland. BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION: The Stakeholder Manager will be responsible for developing, managing and strengthening strategic relationships with key government and external stakeholders, ensuring effective coordination, regulatory alignment, and proactive resolution of issues, while safeguarding the company’s social license to operate and supporting business continuity.

The Surveyor will be responsible for acquiring geographic coordinate information from all of exploration project sites and interpreting spatial information for effective exploration service delivery in line with the survey code of practice and relevant international best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting out coordinates of surface drill holes as per drilling plan to commence drilling.
  • Performing drill hole collar and downhole surveying including drillhole path monitoring.
  • Conducting drillhole collar validation using high resolution DGPS tool.
  • Ensuring that maps are accurately updated and maintained by completing measurement at completion of drilling activities.
  • Validating and managing spatial data from different sources to create and maintain the geospatial database and maps to be used as a basis for all present and future exploration projects.
  • Carrying out calibration measurements of survey equipment to ensure survey accuracy.
  • Implementing quality control and assurance systems for all contractors providing drilling and survey services.
  • Providing guidance, training, coaching, mentoring and support to junior geologists and field assistants.
  • Communicating complex technical and issues both in verbal and written formats with the exploration team.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Surveying /Degree is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in operating GPS/DGPS and similar survey equipment in mineral exploration or mining geology (Handheld GPS, Leica GS 16, RTK, otal station etc)
  • Proven technical knowledge and skills in 2D and 3D modelling;
  • Proven skill for handling of key exploration data including remote sensing, geological mapping, geochemical and geophysical surveys, drillhole data, and cadastral elements
  • Basic understanding of mine geology workflows
  • Familiar with remote sensing techniques and imagery analysis
