Role Purpose: Join our team and help maintain the highest standards across our safari operations in the heart of Africa! We are looking for an experienced tailor to carry out tailoring, repairs, and upholstery work for safari lodges and camps, ensuring durability, comfort, and a professional finish suitable for remote bush environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair, alter, and maintain safari staff uniforms
- Sew, repair, and alter canvas items, tent interiors, and soft furnishings
- Upholstery work including cushions, mattresses, curtains, and cafs.a
- Repair zips, seams, straps, fastenings, and hems on safari equipment
- Measure, cut, and sew heavy duty fabrics accurately
Requirements
- Proven experience as a tailor or seamatress
- Experience working with heavy duty fabrics sich as canvas or upholstery materials
- Proficiency in using industrial and domestic sewing machines
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
