This is a senior position in the company’s organizational structure and the person will be a key functionary in managing production and QMS department. He will ensure that electrical cables produced in the manufacturing units adhere to reginal and international standards. He will provide necessary technical support to the manufacturing department in achieving this goal through regular monitoring of production processes for technical integrity. He will design suitable inspection modules. His responsibilities include maintaining regular contacts with SABS and other international standard bodies, act as technical resource person and ensuring regular industry certification. He will be the overall in charge of Test Laboratories. He is expected to have knowledge of specialty cables such as Solar cables, Braided cables, Instrumentation Cables, Composite cables, Welding Cables etc. The company does not manufacture these cable at present and the selected candidate is expected to bring manufacturing technology related to these cables

Requirements
- In depth knowledge of electrical cable manufacturing processes, raw materials and machines.
- Knowledge about QMS as applicable to Electric Cable Manufacturing
- In depth knowledge of Electric Cable Testing procedures, SANS/BS/US/ IEC Industrial standards relating to Electrical Cables
- Ability to guide, supervise and train laboratory staff
- Higher Secondary/Cambridge O level Certificate or equivalent with Science and Mathematics as the main subjects
- Minimum of 10 years of working in a reputed, preferably ISO certified, Electric Cable Manufacturing Company.
