Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the technical workshop and maintenance teams.
- Oversee preventative maintenance and emergency repairs of tractors, vehicles, irrigation pumps and farm equipment.
- Manage workshop planning, welding, fabrication, electrical maintenance and technical projects.
- Manage procurement, spare parts, workshop consumables and fuel systems.
- Coordinate outsourced work and ensure quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Train, mentor and develop technical staff.
- Maintain technical records, maintenance schedules and management reports.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / N3.
- Qualified Diesel and/or Petrol Mechanic.
- At least five (5) years’ experience in managing technical maintenance, workshops and agricultural equipment in a large-scale citrus export enterprise, with a proven record of delivering high equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Sound knowledge of hydraulics, welding, auto electrical and basic electrical systems.
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Strong leadership, planning and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver’s licence.
