The successful candidate will lead the farm’s technical maintenance function and ensure that all equipment, infrastructure and technical services support efficient citrus production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the technical workshop and maintenance teams.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance and emergency repairs of tractors, vehicles, irrigation pumps and farm equipment.
  • Manage workshop planning, welding, fabrication, electrical maintenance and technical projects.
  • Manage procurement, spare parts, workshop consumables and fuel systems.
  • Coordinate outsourced work and ensure quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Train, mentor and develop technical staff.
  • Maintain technical records, maintenance schedules and management reports.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / N3.
  • Qualified Diesel and/or Petrol Mechanic.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in managing technical maintenance, workshops and agricultural equipment in a large-scale citrus export enterprise, with a proven record of delivering high equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Sound knowledge of hydraulics, welding, auto electrical and basic electrical systems.
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Strong leadership, planning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
