Job Title:
TEMPORARY FIELD ASSISTANT II (30 Posts)
Role Purpose:
Herding of livestock on the farm
Key Responsibilities
- Manning livestock
- Regular fence patrols
- Shearing of sheep
- Slaughtering of lambs and pelting
- Performing livestock management practices (routine duties such as monitoring livestock health, hoof trimming, dipping and any other related duties)
- Cleaning of kraals and troughs
- Monitoring veld condition.
- Undertaking any other duty to meet exigencies of the service
- Livestock herding
- Animal husbandry practices
- Horse riding daily
Requirements
- Age: 18 to 45 years
- Qualification: Minimum Primary School Leaving Examination Certificate (Diploma holders and above are not allowed to apply)
- III. True certified school certificate(s)
- IV. True certified copy of valid ID (Omang) – (not scanned copy)
- V. Submit at least two (2) references.
- 1. Have no criminal record
- 2. Be conversant in livestock herding and animal husbandry practices.
- 3. Be prepared to ride a horse daily
- 4. Be able to read and write both Setswana & English
Salary
A2 (P36, 444.00 – P42, 024.00 per annum)
