Key Responsibilities
- **Training and mentoring** diamond polishers in the art of fancy diamond shapes.
- **Ensuring high-quality finishing** on diamonds, adhering to **EX, VG, and G makes.**
- Demonstrating **expertise in polishing all Fancy shapes**
- **Utilizing basic polishing tools** effectively and guiding trainees on their proper use.
- Implementing **quality control principles** to maintain industry standards.
- Encouraging **teamwork and integrity** within the polishing department.
- Providing **hands-on coaching** to improve precision and efficiency in polishing techniques.
Requirements
- **Strong working knowledge** of basic polishing tools.
- **Expertise in polishing various fancy diamond shapes** (Princess, Cushion, Radiant, Emerald, Oval, Pear, Marquise).
- **Basic English proficiency** (spoken and written).
- Understanding of **quality control principles** in diamond polishing.
- **Attention to detail** and ability to maintain high standards.
- **Teamwork and integrity** to foster a collaborative work environment.
- **Education:** BGCSE (Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education).
- **Numeracy:** Candidates should be highly numerate.
- **Experience:** Minimum **4 – 5 years** in the diamond cutting & polishing industry, with expertise in **EX, VG, and G makes.**
