Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily operations to meet schedule requirements.
- Oversee construction and erection of structural, mechanical, and piping (SMP) components.
- Monitor project performance, identify and mitigate risks, and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Supervise and coordinate project execution within the limits of authority, ensuring adherence to contract terms and conditions.
- Oversee delivery of civil earthworks, services, drainage, and structural scope of works.
- Ensure proper documentation and tracking of piping work progress and any changes made during the project.
- Supervise the installation and alignment of new mechanical components according to technical documentation and specifications.
- Oversee welding activities, ensuring all welding work adheres to engineering and fabrication drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Participate in tender reviews and assist with construction scheduling and planning.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Underground Mining environment or Underground civil environment
- Degree qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management.
- Extensive experience in construction of multi-disciplinary mining and processing projects and demonstrated responsibility for leading 1 to 2 projects of similar scale.
- Technically sound with exposure to construction methodology development and execution in high capital value multi-disciplinary project skills.
- History of competent contractor management on mining infrastructure projects built on strong relationships.
- Extensive knowledge of safety standards and construction and maintenance implications and requirements particularly in relation to safety critical systems and equipment used in the construction of infrastructure.
- Driver’s Licence, First Aid & CPR certificate.
- Working at Heights certificate
- Must have worked in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to work in challenging and remote environments.
