Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all electrical maintenance activities
  • Plan, schedule and allocate resources for electrical maintenance activities
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, modification and upgrading of electrical systems
  • Ensure electrical equipment is maintained according to manufacture specifications and engineering standards
  • Maintain statutory electrical records and inspection registers
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling and execution
  • Review electrical designs, specifications and installations
  • Drive operational excellence and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in life – cycle planning for electrical assets and infrastructure

Requirements

  • Trade Test Certificate: Electrical
  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5-8 years’ electrical maintenance experience in shaft sinking mining environment
  • Minimum 3-5 years in an Electrical Foreman in a Sinking/mining environment
  • Experience with medium-voltage and low-voltage systems
  • Driver’s License, First Aid & CPR certificate
  • Experience supervising electrical maintenance teams
