Key Responsibilities

• Performing upholstery work on a variety of furniture, including sofas, chairs, ottomans, and headboards.
• Cutting, measuring, and sewing fabric, leather, and other upholstery materials.
• Padding and cushioning furniture pieces; installing springs, foam, and other fill materials.
• Repairing or replacing damaged upholstery, cushions, and fabric.
• Working with different upholstery styles: modern, classic, and custom designs.
• Ensuring precise fitting, fabric alignment, and attention to detail.
• Utilizing hand tools and industrial sewing machines for upholstery tasks.
• Inspecting finished products for quality, fixing any imperfections, and making adjustments as needed.
• Working efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines and appointment schedules.
• Maintaining and organizing upholstery tools, equipment, and work area.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an upholsterer with verifiable references.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent craftsmanship.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in cutting, sewing, stapling, and other upholstery techniques.
• Experience with both fabric and leather upholstery.
• Good problem-solving skills and hand-eye coordination.
